Smile Confidently With Invisalign
Invisalign consists of a sequence of removable, clear aligners that straighten teeth similarly to braces, but without metal brackets and wires.
They work by carefully applying controlled pressure to various areas of your teeth at different stages of your treatment.
Invisalign can be an effective orthodontic treatment option for children, teens and adults who prefer a lower-profile option in terms of esthetics, and the convenience of removable aligners.
Since Invisalign aligners are transparent, they have a subtle look that doesn't draw much attention. Plus, because you can remove them, it's simple to enjoy your favorite foods and keep your mouth healthy by brushing and flossing just like you normally do.

Features of Invisalign Treatment
Invisalign offers several features that can help make your orthodontic treatment go more smoothly.
Smooth Construction
Invisalign aligners are crafted from a smooth, comfortable material, so you won't have to worry about irritation or discomfort from metal wires or brackets.
They're made with USP Class VI medical-grade, high-molecular-weight polyurethane resins that are completely BPA free, ensuring both safety and comfort.
Low-Profile Esthetics
If you're considering orthodontic options and have esthetic concerns, Invisalign could be the right choice for you.
These aligners are created using a clear, lightweight material and blend seamlessly into your smile. Most people wouldn't even notice you're undergoing orthodontic treatment.
Removable Aligners
Because Invisalign aligners are removable, you can take them out before each meal, allowing you to enjoy all your favorite foods without restrictions.
You can also take out the aligners to brush and floss your teeth, so your oral hygiene routine stays unaffected.
No Adjustment Appointments Needed
Invisalign aligners don't require adjustments. Instead, you simply switch from one set to the next as directed by your orthodontist.
You'll still need to visit us for checkups to assess your progress, but you'll definitely save time on those adjustment appointments!
Digital Impressions with iTero™
Our orthodontist uses the iTero 3D scanner to take digital impressions of your smile, and showing you your expected results, in preparation for Invisalign, is now easier. iTero impressions are minimally invasive and avoid the goopy impression material used in traditional methods.
The Invisalign Treatment Process
Curious about how it all works? Discover what to expect during your Invisalign orthodontic treatment.
Initial Consultation
During your initial consultation, your orthodontist will conduct an exam and take images to diagnose your orthodontic condition, and design a custom treatment plan tailored to you. Your orthodontist will also address any questions or concerns you may have about the practical and financial aspects of your Invisalign treatment.
The Treatment Plan
Based on your exam and digital scan, your orthodontist will create a detailed Invisalign treatment plan outlining the specific tooth movements at each stage and estimating the overall duration of the treatment. Based on this plan, your Invisalign aligners will be made by Invisalign at a lab using 3D printing technology.
Wearing Your Aligners
For the duration of your treatment, you'll wear your aligners every day, only removing them for a total of about two hours a day, to eat, or to brush and floss your teeth. Approximately every other week or so, you'll change from one aligner to the next in the series. Gradually, you'll see your new smile realized as your teeth shift into their prescribed positions.
Appointments With Us
Throughout your Invisalign treatment, you will visit our office periodically for checkups. During these visits, your orthodontist will evaluate your progress and make necessary adjustments to your treatment plan. Feel free to ask us any questions about your Invisalign as well during these appointments.
Enjoy & Maintain
Congratulations on completing your treatment! Now, it's time to enjoy your straighter, healthier smile. During your final Invisalign appointment, your orthodontist will assess your progress and prescribe retainers to keep your teeth in their new positions.

What is Invisalign?
Invisalign orthodontic treatment involves a series of clear, custom-made aligners that gently straighten your teeth, all without the need for metal wires or brackets.
Using advanced 3D computer imaging technology, we will create a treatment plan based on your unique smile.
Your Invisalign aligners will then be manufactured to fit your teeth precisely at each stage of treatment.
- What are the primary features of Invisalign?
-
How does Invisalign work?
Your Invisalign treatment will include a series of clear plastic aligners. Each aligner is designed to gradually move your teeth in small steps. You will wear each aligner for about two weeks (or as your orthodontist advises) before switching to the next one in the series, which will continue from where the last one left off.
This process will continue until your teeth are in their prescribed, corrected positions.
-
How much does Invisalign cost?
The cost of Invisalign orthodontic treatment varies depending on how complex your orthodontic condition is and the number of aligners required to achieve your desired results. Usually, the more severe or complex the misalignment, the more aligners you'll need, which can influence the overall cost of your treatment.
Concerns about cost are completely understandable. We offer dental financing and flexible payment plans to help you manage your budget for orthodontic treatment.
-
How many sets of aligners will I need?
The answer to this question will vary depending on the nature and severity of your misalignment. Every case is different.
Based on a detailed evaluation of your bite during your initial consultation, your orthodontist will provide you with a precise estimate of the duration of your treatment.
-
How long does Invisalign treatment take?
Your orthodontist will give you an estimate of how long your Invisalign treatment might take, tailored to your individual case.
The duration of your treatment is ultimately determined by the nature and severity of your tooth or jaw misalignment. This determines the amount of movement that will be required to correct the problem and how many aligners you'll need to accomplish this.
-
What are Invisalign aligners made of?
Invisalign aligners are made from medical-grade polyurethane resins that are safe and free of BPA. These materials are of the highest quality and are specifically designed for medical use.
-
Can adults use Invisalign?
Yes! Almost anyone with healthy teeth and gums is a potential candidate for Invisalign.
Many adults today are choosing Invisalign aligners for orthodontic treatment because of their discreet appearance and the convenience of removing them to eat, brush, and floss.
-
Can teenagers use Invisalign?
Yes! Teens certainly can be candidates for Invisalign. In fact, Invisalign offers Invisalign Teen, a product line that is designed to meet the unique needs of teenagers.
Invisalign Teen aligners have two main features that set them apart from standard Invisalign aligners. They include compliance indicators. These tiny blue dots, which fade after two weeks of consistent wear, help teens monitor their treatment and know when to switch aligners.
They also come with eruption tabs for tweens and younger teens whose adult teeth are still growing in. These provide space for second molars and prevent them from growing crooked.
-
Can children use Invisalign?
Yes, Invisalign has a product line called Invisalign First that can be used on kids as young as seven in some cases.
Compared to standard Invisalign aligners, Invisalign First aligners are smaller to fit baby teeth. They also feature an Eruption Compensation system that allows them to smoothly adapt to baby teeth falling out and adult teeth growing in.
-
How will Invisalign fit my lifestyle?
Like any orthodontic treatment, Invisalign requires some adjustment at first. However, we believe you'll find it integrates smoothly into your daily routines. Invisalign aligners can be removed whenever you need to eat, drink, brush, or floss.
This means no dietary restrictions, and you can maintain your normal oral hygiene routine.
And because the aligners are made of a lightweight, clear plastic, they are almost invisible when worn, meaning your orthodontic treatment won't be that apparent to anyone but you.
-
How often do I have to visit the orthodontist with Invisalign?
You'll need to visit the orthodontist every 12 weeks during your Invisalign treatment for a checkup, so that your orthodontist can assess your progress. If any refinements or adjustments are needed for your treatment, they may require some extra visits.
Invisalign aligners don't need any adjustments or tightening. You just switch to a new set as directed by your orthodontist, so you won't have to visit us for these types of appointments during your treatment.
-
How often do I have to change my Invisalign aligners?
When you begin treatment, your orthodontist will specify how often you should change your aligners. The interval varies slightly among patients, but it's usually about every two weeks.
-
Are there any food or drink restrictions?
You can remove your aligners to eat, so there aren't really any dietary restrictions while you're undergoing Invisalign treatment.
We recommend taking your aligners out when drinking beverages other than water (pop, coffee, juice, etc.) to avoid staining and prevent sugars and acids from getting trapped between the aligners and your teeth.
-
How do I clean my aligners?
There are several steps involved in keeping your Invisalign clear aligners clean. You'll want to rinse them each time you remove them from your mouth to wash away dry saliva and any developing plaque.
You should also clean your aligners thoroughly every day. Use a soft toothbrush, clear antibacterial soap, and cool water to clean them. Brush your aligners gently to avoid scratching, then rinse off the soap. That’s it!
Besides cleaning the aligners, make sure your mouth is clean before putting them back in. This involves brushing and flossing after each meal to remove food particles that can get stuck between your teeth and the aligners, which could lead to bad breath, cavities, or gum disease.
-
How do I store my aligners?
Always store your Invisalign aligners in the provided case when you're not wearing them. This helps keep them safe and clean until you're ready to use them again.
-
Can I play sports with Invisalign?
Invisalign aligners are removable, so you can play sports without worrying about damaging them.
However, keep in mind that in order to keep treatment on track, Invisalign aligners must be worn for a minimum of 22 hours a day (or as prescribed by your orthodontist), so plan your time carefully.
Investing in a sports mouth guard is essential to shield your teeth during sports activities. Orthodontic treatment temporarily loosens teeth as they realign, which can increase their vulnerability to damage compared to usual.
-
Can I play my woodwind or brass instrument with Invisalign?
Yes! Just take out your aligners to play your instrument, then put them back in when you're finished.
Keep in mind that you must wear your Invisalign aligners for about 22 hours a day (as prescribed by your orthodontist), so be sure to plan your practice time carefully.
-
Invisalign vs. braces: which is right for me?
Invisalign and braces are both effective orthodontic treatment options, but they differ in several ways that may affect their suitability for different individuals.
Factors to consider when choosing between Invisalign and braces include esthetics, your personal preferences and lifestyle, cost, and the nature and severity of your misalignment. You can learn more here.
Your orthodontist will evaluate your individual situation and suggest the most suitable treatment plan for you.
