The Consultation Process

The initial consultation typically lasts about an hour. We'll cover your orthodontic goals and the expected steps needed to help you get there. We're excited to meet you!

Arrive & Get Settled

Your first consultation is all about learning about you and your unique smile goals. Let's discuss what that will look like.

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our Treatment Coordinator, Lori, and given a tour of the office.

Then, you'll meet our fearless leader, Dr. Sabelis. He'll take the time to listen to your concerns and answer any questions you might have.

Assessment & Diagnostic Imaging

The next step is for our team to conduct a thorough exam and gather information for your records. This will include 'Before Treatment' photos of your smile as well as some imaging to get a comprehensive picture of your dental health.

We'll take X-rays, facial and intraoral photographs, and create a 3D digital image of your teeth using our iTero scanner.

We can use the the iTero scanner down the road to create whatever orthodontic appliance you may need and even simulate your digital outcome to show you what your results might look like at the end of treatment!

Customized Treatment Plan

At this point in the process, you'll meet with our treatment coordinator to discuss your health history (if needed) and review the imaging, outlining possible orthodontic treatment paths.

Based on the exam and imaging results, Dr. Sabelis will present the diagnosis of your condition as well as a treatment plan explaining what you can expect during your orthodontic journey.

This plan will include treatment recommendations, a projected timeline for treatment completion, and an appointment schedule.

We'll also discuss a payment game plan for your treatment. This will include your payment plan, insurance coverage, and financing, should you choose to take advantage of that option.

Next Steps

To end the appointment, Lori will go over insurance benefits and payment plans, set up appointments, and answer any questions you may have about the proposed treatment or office policies.

We love talking about teeth and will take any opportunity to do so! But more importantly, we understand that patients who are fully informed about their treatment achieve the best results, and that's our goal for you!
